Literature Text

He deserves to be happy.

To find a second true love

after so many dark years

alone.

It's been both a joy and

a pain being a single father,

trying to raise a son

by himself.

He still misses her - his wife-

each and every day.

But he knows that she

would want him to

be happy.

So many bitter heavy tears

have fallen, yet he only hides

it with his famous grin.

Only the people who

are close to him can

understand and see

his tears.

His name is Goofy.

He's known for his trademark

laugh, his yelp and goofiness.

At times, he doesn't feel "goofy"

but depressed and bitter.

Not at his lot in life or

towards his son but

at himself.

And her.

He wishes that she didn't

have to leave, but he knows

that she would have been

in tremendous pain.

His name is Goofy

and he holds

his tears he cries at night

back to make

You smile.

This, and another thing I'm working on, will be my very last posts of 2015!  I won't ramble to much, for of losing my train of thought, but for you older Disney fans you're probably familiar about Goofy's wife.  Yes, early on in Goofy's start in the Disney franchise, he was an older man and was married.  However, as years passed, the idea of Mrs. Geef still being around was thrown away, making what Goofy is now, a widower.  To most fans, it's presumed that his wife died, and other than that it's unclear what actually happened.
Here's a link to her page on Disney wiki if you want to read more. disney.wikia.com/wiki/Mrs._Gee…

Japanese Disney fans are very good drawing famous Disney stars in different situations, Goofy and his son, Max, being among them.   Here is a comic that I found on Pixiv showing Goofy rushing off to the hospital and reading his wife left for him after she had died.  www.pixiv.net/member_illust.ph…

Once again, I'm not going to ramble, but the comic that I shared with you was the source of my inspiration for writing my poem.

Happy New Year, everyone.

I hope all of you have a great and blessed day.
